I followed this recipe to the letter (except I doubled it) I've never had such crispy oven baked chicken before, and juicy on the inside! And of all the recipes for this that I previewed, this was the most simple. 5 starts!
Wow, Teresa, Wow. I love your recipes, they never disappoint and I have missed them. This is the perfect oven fried chicken recipe. No wonder, it's your favorite. We all enjoyed the chicken legs prepared this way. The chicken was quick and easy to make, resulting in crisp, tender, juicy, delicious pieces. Thanks for sharing my friend.
Tried it today and it was awesome! Tasted like real deep fried chicken. Might add an extra 1/2 teaspoon of salt the next time, but it's really not needed. Didn't think so few ingredients would turn out so well.
When I was a kid, Shake n Bake Chicken was a big thing. This Bisquick crispy oven baked chicken recipe reminds me a lot of that, since one way to easily coat the chicken is to add the flour mix to a ziplock bag, then add the chicken, and shake it to coat.
Pieces are dipped in egg, shaken up with Bisquick and parmesan cheese, then dipped and shaken again. Melted butter is drizzled on the chicken just before it is baked to add that golden fried texture and flavor.
For an even more convenient and modern twist, we also have steps for how to prepare this easy chicken recipe in the air fryer. Either method, baked or air fried, only takes about 30 minutes from start to finish.
Make the ultimate chicken tenders with Bisquick mix! Breaded Bisquick chicken fingers are crispy, easy, oven baked, and so delicious.
Place the chicken strips on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Bake uncovered in a preheated oven until the strips are golden brown and the internal temperature reads 165 F. See the recipe card below for the full written instructions, including ingredient amounts, cooking times, and helpful tips, etc.
This recipe really is as simple as put it in a bag and shake it. Breaded and baked Bisquick chicken fingers make the most delicious crispy chicken that the whole family will love!
I coated chicken legs in mayo. Having no bisquick, decided to coat them in potato chips mixed with garlic powder, paprika, salt & pepper. Smashed the chips in their bag, till they were bread crumb size (used a rolling pin or hands are good, or a hammer works) added the seasoning & rolled the mayo legs to coat in the chip mixture. Popped them in 400 degree oven for 35 min & checked with thermometer to see if done. This was only 2 good size legs. (only one of me) lol. I adjusted the recipe accordingly, and it turned out really really super good!! Great recipe, thanks!!
Bisquick Oven Fried Chicken is crispy, tender, and flavorful. To make life even easier and to save time, use Bisquick to make oven-fried chicken. And while the chicken is baking, you can prepare the sides for a weeknight meal your family will love.
The best way to reheat fried chicken is in an oven. This will help to keep it crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The chicken should be placed on a rimmed cookie sheet in a preheated 400°F oven, and baked for about 15 to 20 minutes.
These spicy Cajun fried chicken wings are super easy to make with a coating of Bisquick. The pre-mixed ingredients include flour, baking powder and salt, as well as a touch of sugar that means minimal work for maximum flavor. Just coat the wings ahead of time to let the spices permeate the meat! The longer you let them sit, the more flavorful they become.
This oven fried chicken is absolutely yummy. Best part of it is, it uses very little fat, unlike most oven-fried chicken recipes. In fact, you can eliminate the fat entirely if you are using leg quarters or thighs with the skin on. Breasts, because of the low fat content (even with skin on) will require the fat, as well as skinless parts. Chicken is very juicy and flavorful due to the brining process.
